What is a Channel Op (@)?
A @ is generally an experienced IRC user. They have special "powers" on the channel. Some have the capibility to control the X bot. All have the power to change the channel topic, kick and/or ban users from the channel. They can chat between themselves and they can grant op status to any nick that has been approved. See below for channel operator approval.

What are the responsibilities of a channel operator?
A @ is on the channel to make sure that the rules of the channel are followed, prevent or handle any problems that may arise and have fun! fun!



How do I get ops?
The person must be a regular on the channel for at least 4 months. A request must be submitted to Larrs^ along with a list of 4 channel operators that support your request for ops. Be sure to include your channel nick in your email.
